I LOVE MALMÖ

I got back yesterday from 5 beautiful days in Malmö. I went to visit a few friends and I really enjoyed every single minute of it. I had time for my self when I went to visit a couple of museums: ”Moderna museet” and ”Malmö Konstmuseum”. There i found some interesting exibitions, expecially when it comes to photography. One of them was ”Malmö 11-11-11” where lots of amateur photographer took pictures of everyday life in Malmö in that particular day and they grouped them together in a 24hrs frame. I also really enjoyed the ”Ladies and Gnetleman” exhibition, portrait pictures taken by famous artist from the ’60 to the ’90. My favourites were probablly  the african photographers like Malick Sidibè and Samuel Fosso. I love black and white pictures so here some that i took on my little trip!!

I think i could put Malmö in my ”10 favourites european cities” list.

To begin with the architecture is not as rigid as in Stockholm, here they use a lot more red bricks that gives a different energy to the city. It’s absolutely more lively and that gives some how a happier vibe to the atmosphere.  There are still lots of shops owened by people from different countries that with their fruits, vegetables, herbs and typical products  add colours, scents, music and warmth to the place. Beautiful! Sometimes, walking down little streets like that really reminds me of London, so what do i do? I grabb a coffee in a paper cup, walk around and enjoy!!
